Rodeo  Montana

The face of ranching is changing in Montana and everywhere, yet rodeo remains constant. Rodeo is more than sport; it’s a thread that ties cowboys and cowgirls to a way of life. I find myself both awestruck and fascinated by it. I hope my photography does rodeo justice.

I make my images in and around the arenas of Montana’s small rodeos. I prefer the intimate, family atmosphere that I find there. Rodeo Montana is a collection of images and the beginning of a book. One day I will collaborate with a cowboy poet to produce a book of pictures and poetry.
